Sophie + Tim- Vermont Wedding Photographer

Sophie and Tim were just about the sweetest couple ever that I’ve had the pleasure of capturing.  Heartfelt, soft spoken and completely over the moon for each other.  They ventured to the West Mountain Inn from Alaska where they had first met.  During one of our conversations during email, Sophie let me know that she would be very hard to get a hold of for quite some time.  What I eventually learned is that she would be out in the great outdoors for months as she researched deer and other furry creatures that roam the forest floor.  Tim would be equally as hard to reach as he researched glaciers.  So as you can imagine, getting a hold of each other could prove difficult, but I love hearing the stories of how each of my couples come together and the journey that they follow to that most important day in their life!

So let’s rewind to September of last year.  It was an overcast day with great autumn temps.  It was the perfect day.

Sophie and Tim were married at St. John the Baptist church in North Bennington and it was such a sweet ceremony and an even sweeter ending when the guests tossed Lavender as they exited the church.

We hopped in our cars and went straight to the Inn so that we could do as many photos as possible before the guests started to trickle in for the cocktail hour.  Once again, mother nature and the grounds at the Inn didn’t disappoint!

The decorations inside the barn were absolutely breath taking and it was hard not to be completely smitten with Sophie’s drawings at each table….

The evening was a joyful one with lots of dancing and laughing….

Thank you Sophie and Tim for allowing me to be a part of your amazing day!

Jason + Katie- Vermont Wedding Photographer

Better late than never right?!  So let’s go back in time once again!  It was a warm August day in Massachusetts.  It had been a few years since I had been back in MA after we had lived there for a few years, but since it was just a few towns over from where we lived, I was happy that I knew the area!  I was SUPER excited for Jason and Katie’s big day because they were absolutely fabulous in front of my camera for their engagement session and I knew that with Katie’s amazing attention to detail, that their wedding day would be equally as fabulous.

We started off in their hotel room where the ladies were getting prepped and the moment that Katie started opening Jason’s gift, I knew that I needed to be close by.Vermont Wedding Photographer

After the make-up and hair preparations were done, we headed off to the Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield.  The moment you walk through the door, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time and it’s truly a magical place.

So many lovely details to capture…..

Seeing Katie in her dress brought a few tears to my eyes…….I admit it!  She was absolutely GLOWING and you could tell that the dress she chose, was absolutely meant for her.  She was meant to become Mrs. Perkins wearing that fabulous dress……with pockets…….oh how I love pockets!!!

Four to go- Vermont Wedding Photographer

I’m still here…..I promise!  I’ve been busy with elopements, weddings and just life in general.  With that said, I’m still determined to blog all of my weddings from last year and I have four left to go (and then 5 elopements as well!)  So as I get myself ready for tomorrow’s wedding at West Mountain Inn, here’s a sneak of Katie & Jason’s day that I’ll be blogging about next!
