Home. It’s the place I long for. It’s the place where my mind always wanders to when we’re away. This month, we’ve been in our home for 10 years. TEN YEARS!! When we bought it ten years ago, we knew it would be a long haul of projects. The whole downstairs has been completely gutted with a new kitchen and new bathroom. Thankfully the bedrooms haven’t needed anything and the only thing we have left to do on the inside is our main bath…….but that’s one project we’ll leave to the pros! The outside though has seen the bulk of work. A completely restored front porch, new windows throughout the house and we’re now on our third coat of paint (let’s just say we’ll never use Behr paint again…..Sherwin Williams all the way) with countless new pieces of replaced cedar siding. My husband has done 95% of the work himself…….and thus 10 years later, it’s still a work in progress. We’re planning on ripping out the front walkway and hopefully FINALLY doing the landscaping later this year, but as with everything in life, something inevitably comes up and it’s gets put on next year’s list.
This home holds my heart though…….each and every corner.
