New phone on it’s way….

well the time has come to say good-bye to Unicel since AT&T bought them out! It’s a little ironic that we’re using them again since AT&T dropped us when we moved to Vermont from Massachusetts because we weren’t in their service area and we were costing them too much money (that’s back when we were using our cell phones as our home phone.) We were with them for like 8 years prior to that and now here we are again, back with them. So the whole reason for this post is that I’ve been having some trouble with my phone, which as you may or may not know is my business phone. I’d rather use a cell phone as my business number to make sure that I’m catching all of my calls. Only problem is that for the past couple of months, I’ve been missing calls, unable to hear several of my messages and phone numbers not showing up in the caller id so that I could call back and say “hey my message was broken up and I couldn’t hear you!” So last night I got a text from AT&T officially announcing the transition and saying that when we’re ready we could go phone shopping and re-sign our contract since our current one with Unicel is now void. So as you can imagine, the wheels start spinning in my head. Before AT&T bought out Unicel, no one in Vermont was able to get an iPhone. So when I went online last night, I knew that I wanted one, but I wasn’t looking forward to the price tag or the monthly fees to keep it up (an additional $30 a month)……so me and Dan compromised! I bought a re-furbished iPhone and we went with the lowest Nationwide Family Talk Plan since we don’t really use our phones that often now that we have a home phone! So my new (new to me at least) phone will be coming in the mail this week along with Dan’s new phone, which I’m sorry to say isn’t an iPhone and I’ll hopefully be getting all my calls and voicemails from now on. If not, remember that you can always reach me through email! Anyways, that’s my exciting news for the weekend!

Oh and I was able to transfer my number over so everything is still the same!
