And she let me take some photos of her that I will treasure forever….

Can’t you just hear her going “OOOHHHHHMMMMMMMMM” in that last one?!!
In other news, this weather is totally out of control! We were able to take the grill out of winter storage and we even slept with the back door off of our bedroom open so that we could hear the river at night. Typically this time of the year, we’d still be working inside of the house on our renovations, but this year has brought forth a lot of change! My husband recently acquired a 1972 Chevrolet Pick-up that he’s restoring and when I say restore, I mean full out everything off of the frame and putting it back together piece by painful piece. He’s enjoying absolutely every moment though and we’re enjoying watching him in the garage!!
Sadly, my lawn looks like a dump truck filled with sand flipped over and it’s going to take a lot more work to repair it than I think we originally thought it would. In the grand scheme of things, an ugly lawn is a lot better than the loss of land or a home so in that respect we’re very lucky…..but it still sucks that each time I look out my bedroom window, I have a constant reminder of that day
We still have A LOT of sand to remove, a river bank to restore with some natural plantings, some trees that need to come down and some trees that need to go up in their place. Oh Spring…..we welcome you back!!!

Things I’m grateful for on this beautiful (but chilly) morning:
