Some more fab products!

Being a photographer with a home office has it’s perks.  I get to fill my home with beautiful photos of my love and at the same time, display some of the awesome products that I offer my clients!  One of the most popular items I offer are accordion books!  They’re a great way to get multiple photos in one spot that easily fits into your purse or back pocket!  They’re available in sets of three and the possibilities are truly endless since each book is custom designed!  The covers are the book are hard like an actual hard cover book and have an image on both the front and the back….

And then as you can see the inside can be filled however you’d like…..

And finally there are the checkbook covers which I absolutely love!  As soon as I pull mine out of my photo bag, I get even more compliments!  These checkbook covers also utilize recycled newspapers and are hand made in Northern Vermont (which makes me love them even more!)

I still have a bunch more products to share so I’ll be back with some more previews!  With the warmer weather upon us, it’s finally time to get out there and start shooting again which I’m loving.  It certainly was a longgggggg AND cold winter this year in Vermont and while I love the snow, I’m happy that I can go outside without a coat on and not needing to shovel the walkway!!

Spring- Arlington, Vermont Photographer

I’m so very thankful that the warmer weather has arrived which gave me the perfect opportunity to capture Lillian for her springtime photos.  Each year that I do them I’m amazed at how much she’s grown and how proud of her I am, and at the same time, how much I miss my itty bitty girl…..

and I can never resist a photo of her where she’s more serious…..makes my heart melt every time (which is strange because you would think that I would prefer a big smile!)….

This week I’ll continue to work on spring cleaning which this year is a little more intense than previous years since we were stuck inside a lot more this past winter with all of the snow, but hopefully I’ll be done in a few days!  I’m also excited because the warmer weather means that I’m finally able to start shooting outside again and I have three engagement sessions over the next three weeks.  I totally heart engagement sessions so I’m looking forward to sharing some fabulous images!

The morning quiet- Arlington, Vermont Photographer

blog1

It’s my favorite time of the day.  It’s that time between the start of her day, where she quietly takes everything in, where she takes in a few moments of tv and nourishes her body from time to time when she decides to eat breakfast.  She’s just like her mama when it comes to breakfast.  I prefer to eat around 10 am and she’s the same.  Each day she’ll either get up herself and instantly go into the bathroom to greet daddy or stay in bed and sleep a little more.  At 7 am though it’s time to get up.  I’ll start her off with some milk (or juice if she happens to have a cold which has been happening a lot this winter season) and I’ll start on her lunch.  She’s a picky eater, my sweet Lillian.  She’s never had a hot meal at school for this very reason.  Of the few things that she does eat, I try to buy organically as much as possible.  Fifteen minutes later we’ll start to get her dressed.  This child has entirely way too many clothes so thankfully it doesn’t take too long to decide what to put her in.  Her hair is another story.  When I blowdry her hair the night before it’s so beautiful and straight (since all of her curls are gone :o ( ) and by the time she wakes up in the morning it’s a hot mess.  Adding to the messiness that is known as her hair is the fact that we’re trying to grow out her bangs since she cut them herself last year so they’re constantly in her face even after I’ve pinned them back.  And lets not forget how thick her hair is (yet again another trait from mama.)

By 7:45am it’s time to get into the car and head to school.  I used to drop her off and put her into line and just let her go but once the snow started falling I’ve been staying with her to help her unpack.  Maybe it’s time to go back to that since she tends to not focus once she gets into the classroom to unpack…..the mama in me wants to stay with her though!  She rides the bus home each day mostly for her own enjoyment since I could most certainly pick her up each day.  I always check with her a couple of times a month to make sure that she wants to keep riding it since it takes about a half an hour to get home and we only live like two miles from the school, but she always says that she wants to keep riding.  From the moment she gets off the bus though, it’s non-stop talking.  This child CAN TALK YOUR EARS OFF!!!  You may not understand it, but she could care less!!  Having a converstion with my husband is nearly impossible since she always has a story or song to sing.  Maybe this is why I love the morning so much.  While I love listening to everything that she has to say, it’s the morning time (and sometimes the night if she’s super sleepy) that she loves to cuddle, give random hugs and just takes everything in.  I can only hope that one day that she’ll have someone else little to talk too in the morning, but at least I know that if she doesn’t, that she’ll have plenty to talk about when she gets home each day!
