I tried…….I really did. Blogging my sessions is important to me, but what’ more important to me is having a fast turn around AND at the same time balancing my family life. It’s a juggling act for sure and it’s one I’m just now starting to understand a little more. With my little one in school during the day now, I’m able to get a lot more accomplished and to-do lists have become my new best friend. Each day I have about 8-10 things I’d like to accomplish, some big, some small…..but all important in my life nonetheless. My least favorite to do items that tend to get pushed until the end of the day…….household chores. Like right now, with moments before I’m about to go to bed, I have a pile of laundry to fold…….I hate the laundry……I really wish it folded itself. I’m hoping that with this new routine, I’ll have a chance to catch up on everything, to be able to blog, to be able to relax for a few moments, to be able to design some new stuff for Pink Ink that I could use for myself, that I’ll have time to update my work on my website, that I’ll have time to update the look of my blog. SOOOOO many things to do and so little time! I must add that my wonderful husand Dan has been a saint through all of this. It’s been a hectic summer with seniors and weddings, but soon it will begin to wind down again and he’ll catch a break as well. I’m tired, but I’m blessed and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
So I guess I should leave you with a photo! This was taken on my iPhone earlier tonight. This is an exciting night in the Bombria household. Why you may ask?!! After nearly 2 1/2 years, I finally have a light fixture over my table! The remodel in the kitchen is winding down and all we have left to do is refinish the hardwood floors, install the crown molding and do some detail molding around the counters and windows. We’ve also completely remodeled the half bath/laundry downstairs so once this is complete the first floor will be done other than a few windows we have left to do. After that the only thing left to do will be restoring the pine floors upstairs and completely gutting the bathroom out (which we will most certainly be hiring a professional to do!) It’s a never ending process owning an older home, but just like my career, I wouldn’t have it any other way……we are where we were always meant to be and my house is beginning to feel more like my home.
