Anthony & Briana-Vermont/NY Wedding Photographer

Yes- I know, I know……I’m a bad blogger!  I put it on my schedule each week, and each week it keeps getting put off.  Last month I had the pleasure of capturing Briana and Anthony’s wedding in Schenectady, NY.  Mother Nature wasn’t on our side.  It drizzled throughout the day and became rather steady during the time that we would have normally taken outdoor portraits.  This is when you have to work with what you have and make the best of the situation!  Their ceremony at St John the Evangelist was stunning which was made even more stunning with a beautiful bride and handsome groom!  All of the details that they  had spent so much time planning didn’t go un-noticed…….the beautiful bridesmaids and their dresses and jewelry, her flowers, the antique crystal favors that she gave her guests……these are the things I love to capture!  I could go on and on about their wedding and how much fun I had capturing their reception and watching Anthony dance on the dance floor (which reminded me so much of my husband on our wedding day-you could just see how happy he was and how much he loves Briana)……so I guess I’ll finally share some of what I captured on their day….

Vendors-

DJ- Elite Entertainment- Vinny Commisso (kept the party going)

Summer Wedding{Southern Vermont-Eastern New York Wedding Photographer}

Summer is officially here and that means wedding season is in full swing here at Carrie Ann Photography!  I think that my biceps are starting to get a little bigger from lugging my heavy camera around which is certainly a positive thing and I think that I’m starting to shed a few pounds which is even better (still have a lot more weight I need to lose!)  After shooting my most recent wedding last weekend and Kyle and Amanda’s wedding a couple of weeks earlier I realized that I really need to have my hair cut again.  The humidity does horrible things to my thick hair and I look like a frizzball after the ceremony from running all around!  So if you were at one of my most recent weddings and you had to experience my horrible hair, I apologize!!!

So I guess I went a little off topic there so lets get to the good stuff……photos!  Kyle and Amanda were married a few weeks ago and the weather couldn’t have been better, especially with an outdoor ceremony!  They were married at Amanda’s sisters’ house in White Creek, NY and held the reception in the same town and here are a few photos from their day!

Coming soon another wedding to share and a family session!  The next month or so I’m really, really busy so I’m going to try and keep up with my blogging a little more.  Some things on my website will be changing around and I’ll be putting up my calender for 2010 weddings at some point as well.  I only shoot a certain amount of weddings each year because I like to not only be on top of my game physically and mentally, but also because I don’t want to be one of those photographers that gives their clients their wedding photos like 6 months after their wedding.  So if you’re interested in possibly hiring me for your wedding, contact me and lets set up a consultation to see if I’m the right photographer for you!

I know, I know……

no blog posts in awhile!  I must be scaring potential brides away by letting them think that I’m not busy.  Actually it’s quite the opposite at the moment!  I’m in the midst of an editing frenzy which I hope to wrap up later tonight or tomorrow before it begins again next week.  I have weddings and sessions to share which will come in due time…..as well as something new I have in the works….nothing major or anything…..just something I’m excited about!

As a side note- if you’re a bride that’s interested in allowing me to capture your day why not set up a meeting with me!  We can discuss things-you can look over my portfolio-I can drink some tea-you can drink some coffee (I hate coffee……ewwwww!!)  Consultations are such an important part of the process.  As with anything in life, some things are just meant to be.  Some couples I’m meant to capture and some I’m not- and I’m totally okay with that.  I’m that piece of the puzzle that may or may not fit in with you, your day and what you’re expecting from a photographer.  I’m laid back-quiet when I need to be-loud when I need to be- and extremely flexible.  I think the whole flexibility thing is the one thing I pride myself on the most.  I think everyone in life should be as flexible as possible.  I mean I know this is a business that I’m running here……but if I’m happy, then I think my couples should be happy too.  Wondering just how flexible I am?  Contact me?  Call me, email me, video chat with me, meet me!
